A private neighborhood social network built for real neighbors
Only Your Neighbors is a place to get to know the people around you, share useful local information, and help make your neighborhood feel more like home.
A place for the people who live around you
A neighborhood is more than a location on a map. It is the people who notice a missing pet, share a helpful recommendation, welcome someone new, or lend a hand when plans change. Only Your Neighbors brings those everyday connections into one place. Residents can ask questions, share updates, discover events, and find people nearby who understand the places they are talking about. Whether you have lived on the same street for years or have just moved in, you can participate in conversations that are relevant to where you live. Joining as a neighbor is free, so you can start connecting without paying for an account.
How joining your neighborhood works
When you join, you provide your address and find or create the neighborhood where you live. Your address helps you choose a neighborhood, but the platform does not independently verify that you live there. Once you have joined, the main neighborhood feed is for members of that neighborhood. You can introduce yourself, follow local conversations, and choose what you want to share. Some other post categories can be shared more widely at the city or state level when you choose that reach. The goal is to make it easier to talk with nearby people while giving you clear choices about where your posts appear. For a closer look at each step, read how it works.
Useful conversations, close to home
Local information matters most when it reaches the right people. Ask if someone has found a lost dog, recommend a service you have used, announce a neighborhood gathering, or share an important safety update. If you need a hand, you can ask people nearby; if you can help, you can respond. The app also includes events, lost-and-found posts, private messages, and a way to discover local businesses. You do not have to sort through a global feed to find out what is happening around the corner. Conversations stay focused on places, people, and practical questions that matter in your community.
Different from a general social network
Facebook groups can include people with all sorts of connections to a place, while broader neighborhood networks can mix nearby conversations with a lot of outside content. Only Your Neighbors is built around the neighborhood itself. Its main feed is limited to members of that neighborhood, and the experience is designed to keep local questions easy to find. The neighborhood feed does not run advertisements. Local businesses can be discovered through the business directory instead of taking over the conversation. This does not replace talking to someone on your porch or at an event; it helps you make the introduction, find the right person, and stay in touch between those moments.
Find your community and get started
Not sure whether your neighborhood is already on the platform? Browse neighborhoods by state and city to see what is available. If your neighborhood is not listed, you can add it when you join. Apartment communities can use the name of their complex, too. Once you are in, start with something simple: introduce yourself, ask for a local recommendation, or share an event that your neighbors might enjoy. You can also visit the frequently asked questions for details about joining, privacy, and who can see your posts. A helpful neighborhood does not appear all at once. It grows as residents show up, share information, and make it easier for the next person to participate.
